Spring Wardrobe Refresh
Spring is the season that I probably spend the most on new clothes, shoes and accessories. After the first or second road trip, I start assessing my wardrobe and what new pieces I need for the upcoming travel season, (last year, I shopped hard for spring/summer dresses and skirts). My first trip this year highlighted my need for new sneakers, activewear and swimwear. So without further ado, here are my top picks that I’m currently shopping:

I recently went hiking for spring break, and found out my old hiking shoes now give me blisters… So, I’ve been on the hunt for either new hiking shoes, or new sneakers to wear casually so I can rotate some older shoes into hiking shoes. I haven’t decided if the bigger soles are good for rocks and dirt, or if they’re more of a street sneaker.
THE absolute cutest swimsuit I found a few weeks ago! I am patiently waiting for it to be restocked in my size!
Nike sneakers are my go to for fit and functionality. I had to wear my old Nike Cortez shoes hiking to prevent getting more blisters from my other shoes, so these will be a replacement.
This swimsuit was shared with my by a friend, but she owned the red color. Since I am willing into existence that I will be able to purchase the other pink and red suit, I thought I needed an option that was not red. Plus, my mom says light blue brings out my eyes. 😊
My ultimate favorite jean shorts! These are from Abercrombie and I own them in every wash. Now it’s time for the white!
While I was packing for my trip, I realized I didn’t have any fun colored sunglasses. I have brown and black as my go to for outfits, pink that are pretty utilitarian, but nothing that would be fun for the beach or the pool. I thought the frame material and color were fun, the shape was unique, and the lens size looked large enough to cover my whole eye. (You will never catch me in those micro-mini, 90’s style sunnies! 1.They don’t protect my eyes from the sun 2. They are super small and make my already large head look ginormous.)
I have been slowly going through my old flip-flops and tossing the ratty looking ones after vacations and trips to the beach. I am down to my last two and am on the hunt for new. Fun fact: I like my flip-flops to be hard soled, I cannot wear the squishy kind with the rubber toe separator. They hurt the sides of my feet too much, believe it or not.
I am in need of a new active set, this time with color! My current go-to’s are black, and get too hot when hiking in full sun.
I really love the stripe up the leg and that these are high wasited.
I really wanted to end on nine, a nice square number, but as I was about to post this blog, I got a message about a new line and had to add this: Since my trip to Italy last year, I have a soft spot for Italian words or foods on clothing. One of my favorite brands, Rails, just came out with this t-shirt today, so I had to add to my list!
