Designing for Holidays: Valentine’s Day Edition

I love seeing other people’s houses decorated for holidays, but some holidays are bigger lifts than others (i.e.. Halloween, Christmas). Thankfully, Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays you can decorate for without going full tilt. While I do love attending a highly themed dinner or Galantine's party (now accepting invitations…), it can be very easy to go too kitschy with your décor, and I’m just not feeling that this year. Instead, here are my picks and inspiration boards for a classic, tasteful holiday. Enjoy!

I walked into Target on January 2nd, intending to only purchase a toy for birthday party I was going to later in the week. I had no intention of purchasing anything for myself, let alone anything for Valentine’s Day, more than a month away, but there she was! So simple, yet adorable, and only five dollars! I couldn’t help it; I ended up purchasing this doormat.

This purchase started a chain reaction, resulting in a couple hours of online shopping and the following recommendations. You’re welcome!

What are your thoughts on decorating for Valentine’s Day? Do you go all out or are you more minimal, like me? I will say that no matter if I have decorated my house or not, I always love a vase of fresh flowers (currently writing this post with a vase of white roses on my dining table).

Leave a comment down below and let me know your thoughts!

With Love,

Jayci
