Textured and 3D Wall Art
I’ve always believed that one of the best ways to add depth to any space is through texture. You could have a totally monochromatic room but with the addition of different textures, that space could feel more interesting and grounded, verses boring and flat.
In 2026, textures will now be showing up on walls.
Here’s how to achieve this look for yourself:
Create a Collage
This is an oldie, but a goodie, the collage wall! This can be plates, a collection of your child’s art, or sports memorabilia. Anything that is 3D works. You can make all shapes and sizes be similar, or you can mix it up. Either way, I’m seeing minimal frames and maximum personality.
Tapestry or Rugs
The trick to making this work is a vintage style. It doesn’t have to actually be an antique Moroccan rug (because I know how much those cost…), it just needs to look worn and distressed. That distressing is what gives more life and more texture to the art.
